Word Office XP Corporate Word spell ck problem

    I'm running Word from Office XP Corporate edition on a 555 HP Pavilion with 40 gig hard drive half used and 320 RAM.

    I keep loosing the spell check in Word. It will be ok for part of the day and then I discover it is not working. If I reboot it will start working again. I uninstalled the Office XP and did a reinstall and I'm still having the problem. I checked in Tools, Options Spell check to make sure I had the appropriate boxes checked.

    Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and what I can do to correct the problem?
