    This has been hashed and rehashed ad nauseum. OPERA DOES NOT CONTAIN SPYWARE AND NEVER HAS. Opera has always been quite clear and up front about how the ad-supported version of their browser works and what it does.

    The author of the article is obviously blissfully ignorant of the fact that advertisers have for quite some time relied on IP geo-mapping to serve localised content. The article is alarmist BS :rolleyes:

    Ergo, it's a duck. Long as one knows what they have in a browser and can make an informed decision, that's fair enough. The way the developers made a snoop & poop one and then try and cover their posterior is amusing. Reminds me of politicians.
