Windows/Inf Folder - you have one also

    Mine was 351 files @ total 13.2 mega - so I deleted it.
    (Saved on the other disk ;-)
    PC runs luvverly same as before - so what is this folder for ?
    Logfiles that have been there hogging space since Win98SE install ? I suspect uninstall help - but 13.2 mega ???
    I do not know ... your ideas appreciated . . .

    Inf files are files that contain setup information that is needed to install hardware. So, I imagine if you try to install some plug and play hardware in the future, it's going to complain about not being able to find what it needs. ;)

    Yup. It's a library of all the installation parameters for all the hardware that you have, and possibly will install, that's contained in the windows setup disk.
    If you ever install any other hardware, it's going to complain.
