    1. Send to desktop as shortcut.

    2. Add the shortcut to start menu, quick launch, whatever.

    3. Either retain or delete the desktop shortcut.

    Hi, Alex ~

All you have to do is open 'My Documents', click & hold the mouse button down on the 'My Videos' folder, drag it & hold it for a sec over 'start' button, then the start menu will pop up and drag it to the left-side only and then let go.

Right-click and select 'Rename' if you desire to change the name.

    Video icon.

Thank a lot, that's really quick and easy! But I was rather after the icon on the right hand side where My music,My pictures etc. so I can have it in the form of expandable list for quick access to a certain video without actually opening the folder.
Is there way to do it this way? Thanks again,Al.

I'm not completely sure what you want at this point but .... sometimes that isn't necessary.

My guess is that you can make a suitable shortcut to windows explorer using switches and once you have exactly what you want, put that in the start menu.

    Take a look Here.

Thanks Newt! All I wanted was the link on the start menue (mine is set to'display as link' for My music,My pictures etc.).It would be quite quick just to hover over the My video in start menue and having access to all your video files straight away.I guess you are right it's very far from absolute necessity but sometimes I just like to have a quick look at a particular music clip without going through any playlists or My documents etc.
    Thanks for your reply anyway.
    Best regards Al.
