    You have 2 possibilities

A basic Browser Hijack or a worm see the below.

Since it cannot find the key file CMD32 then it may not be active.

    Suggestions

    Download and run SpyBot

    Spyware and adware removal

    SpyBot <http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang=en&page=download>

Run this twice delete all it finds, "ALWAYS" run this before AdAware.

Leave all it wants to leave after the second run.

then do an online scan at 1 or even better all 4 of these

Mike I had a worm before I got my new norton. Norton found it but that is when this problem started. So do I just do the spyware stuff now.

That is what I suspected, that something had partially removed it.

You should be doing the Spy/Adware cleaning anyway ever so often. So yes do that. Make sure that after download and install that you immediately update before running.

I would still run at least one of the online scans. It is like with doctors get a second opinion.

Ok, ran the spybot, and then did two online scan things. Then I did a restart and what do I do now to get that file back.

You did not understand! That is the bad file, you don't want it back. It is not a windows file!

That is the reason I said it was not active.

Now are you saying that it is still looking for it?

If so then all we need to do now is get rid of this.

    OK 1 more download.

This will give you total contol of these things!

    Startup control
    <http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml>

This gives simple and full control of what starts at boot up.

After install there will be a Startup icon in control panel.

    Why this over Msconfig?

Msconfig only allows unchecking/disabling of items. Startup Control panel allows deleting items or moving from startup to run as a service etc.

So after you download this small simple but powerful program go to the control panel dbl click Startup look in all the TABS for this file. When found rt click and chose delete.

Reboot now and it will be gone!
