I have a customer running 98SE on an HP laptop.
    (P3 500+ MHz, 128 mb ram, 20 gb)

He originally had ME, which I talked him into letting
me get rid of, and install a copy of windows 98se
    (formatted hard drive first)

Within a week or so of running, he started to...lose
images (his home page is msn.com, and 2 or 3 images
at the top of the page -the little ads- wouldn't load...
The same problem with netscape (latest version) and
when he loads it with AOL, the images load fine.
(By the way, the images NEVER load in IE or netscape.)
And, this doesn't only happen with msn.com.

His main problem, tho, is this:

EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
    module MSVBVM60.DLL at 017f:660ee981.

This pops up way too often, and his browser closes, and
    he has to start over.

I have reinstalled IE, it has been windows updated to IE6SP1,
I have tried the repair option.

I replaced his ram too... no apparent help.

I believe he has Norton Antivirus 2003 (just virus, none of that other ****) ... I am awaiting a return call to make sure it isn't
2001...and if it is, he is going to disable script blocking, because
I found elsewhere that that may cause this.

Any ideas? (I'd appreciate any! Thanks)

Sometimes enabling script blocking in Norton AV will cause this error.

Symatec says: "This problem has been fixed in the latest program update. To install the update, run LiveUpdate, download the program update, and then restart the computer when prompted.

If for some reason the program update does not fix the problem, then disable Script Blocking by following the instructions in the document .
How to disable Script Blocking in Norton AntiVirus 2001.

Sometimes the following will resolve the problem: Go to Start >Run and type in "Regsvr32.exe /u msvbvm60.dll" (without the quotes) and hit Enter.

Could there be a clue it that ?

Such as working with AOL and not the others.
