I have Windows XP Professional. Pent 3 with 512 Ram and a 40Gig Hard Drive. When I start my machine it makes a funny noise. After about 1o minutes the noise stops. To me it is a grinding sound. Have just replaced the Power Supply. I also have a small fan in the computer. Someone told me it is a ball bearing that is making the noise. Where will I find the Ball Bearing if there is one.

Could be the bearings in the fan(s). Could also be the hard drive going south.

Hard Drive is a Western Digital which is 2 months new.
Power Supply with 2 fans in it-1 month old. Will check the other fan unless you have any other suggestion.
