Is the new drive formated, copy something to it to confirm.

    If so then....

Unhook all cables, printers, scanners network cables, internet and modems. Everything!

Put in the 2K Cd and reboot.

    Begin the install.

Be sure to pick the new drive to install to!

Your 1st step is a basic install. Do only what is nessesary to get it installed. Other things can be added later. Don't worry if it does not recognize a sound card or video or something as long as it will install. these can be corrected later.

Expect some problems. We can handle them 1 at a time.

Once you see it boot up to the 2k desktop sucessfully then shut down reconnect all you disconected. Then turn on and go into ME to confirm everything is OK.

This way you can slowly get 2k configured like you want and still shut down and get back to ME where you have everything untill you are ready!
