When I use my dial up connetion and try to disconnect from the ISP the dial up box reappears. If i click on it to cancell it it reappears again several times.

A shot in the dark - as usual, but check this :

In IE 6 (or whatever) Tools > Internet Options > Connections and make sure that 'Always dial my default connection is checked'.

If I use this setting the Dial up connection box keeps reapearing
I have had to set it to "never dial a connection" then manually connect when I require a connection

I once had a service (a messenger or weather service or something) that was set to auto login that was promting a dial up at user login and at dialup disconnect. After resetting it I also set my connection to 'never dial'. Less aggrevation manually connecting than closing 2 or 3 times. You can always uncheck your 'prompt for password and phone number' on properties/options tab. Then you can get on without the 'connect' window. Good luck! Dave
