I'm using win2k3 .net server (enterprise edition) as a workstation because of the reliability of this OS. Greatest OS I've tried so far ^^
    BUT
Remote Desktop works fine, and i can start a session from, lets say, my school or whatever.
Start a few programs maybe and then log off, while these programs continue to run.
What i want to be able to do is to log back into that session again, and continue my work with these programs.

Is that in any way possible?

If you log back in as the same user it should be just like you left it.

I opened a session from my school (the PC wasn't logged in or anything at home, i rebooted it, and went to school)
In that session i logged in as "Administrator ". Worked like it should, i got my default desktop and all. Started a few programs, and loged off remote desktop.
Then when i got home, i pushed ctrl-alt-del to log on, and i logged on as that very same user "Administrator ", but my programs were gone. Then i start to investigate.
I check out the Terminal Services Manager, and there i can see a disconnected (but still running) session from my school. I can also see the current session I'm using from my console (through which I'm writing right now).
I need to get into that "school" session and continue my work localy.

    Ahh,
    I see your point.
I thought you were resuming the same remote session.
Don't have an answer for that one.

    Hey atrox...

I use WinXP RD (Win XP Pro) at home and at work. When I want to exit but leave my apps running I just "Disconnect " instead of logging off. When I click "Disconnect" I get the msg below and when I log back in (as the same user) my apps are still running

This will disconnect your windows session. Your programs will continue to run while you are disconnected. You can reconnect to this session later by logging on again ".

I am work right at this moment and will try my other box which runs Win2k as soon as I get home but I'm pretty sure I get the same msg.
