Every time we enter the POP3 pw on the account properties tab and apply it, we think OE will remember the PW. It doesn't: the field shows up blank on the next opening. We've done this a dozen times. Is there somewhere else in XP or OE that is preventing the PW from recording? Clearly, being asked to login every time is annoying, yet OE will not remember the password.
    THanks for any assistance.

    Hi, Torque ~

On the 'Servers' tab, have you made sure to check the box next to 'Remember password'?

A Search here on remember+password would have given you plenty of info to go on...

I see. When I tried "remember passwords" I got very few hits. I was not configuring my search term properly. Thanks.

If you haven't sorted this out yet refer to MS Knowledge Base - Article 264672 ' Your Outlook Express Password is not retained in Windows 2000 or XP'

    The fix worked for me!
