i made the mistake of playing with my screen resolution and now the windows are too long for me to reach the 'apply' and 'ok' buttons to change the screens back. i know there is a way to move the windows but i've forgotten. can anyone remind me? thanks.

It would be easier to Restart in Dos Mode, then type in 'scanreg /restore', use the arrow keys to pick a registry dated before you played around with the settings, then press enter.

there is an even simpler way i can't remember how to accomplish. if i can just move the screen up i can reach the 'apply' and 'okay' buttons and resize the screens from the setting, active desktop area.

i was once told how to do this and have forgotten.

An easier way is to set the slide bar to the setting you want then hit the tab key 4 times for Apply or twice for OK and hit enter.

For future ref, move your mouse cursor to the top of the window until it turns into "up/down arrow ". Left click and hold and shorten the window downward. Then left click and hold across the top of the window, pull the window back to the top. You may have to repeat this couple times until the bottom of the window appears. Then you can resize the entire window. This works for left/right sizing also..

When you can't reach the apply button use alt + spacebar. A menu will open in the upper left hand corner of the window. Select move in the menu and then use the arrow keys to move the window up or down.
