every couple days ad-aware keeps coming up with "alexa, category data miner, object type, regkey installed with internet explorer and some updates" I delete it but keeps coming back. Don't notice any catastropic problems yet. I haven't updated any thing from MS for awhile. Should I be concerned about this??? Thanks for any help.

neil--Although there are other ways of getting it, Alexa is installed whenever you Repair IE or install a new version of IE. If you have deleted it by using Ad-Aware and it comes back without your taking any of the above actions, that is strange.
Next time you delete using Ad-Aware, click on IE Tools. Do you see "Related Sites" listed in the drop-down menu? If so, you have not deleted Alexa, but whether the fault is Ad-Aware's I do not know. (Are you sure you checked the box to the left of Alexa before you clicked Delete?)
It is also possible you are getting it from some other site that you continously visit.
However, if you never click on "Related Sites" mentioned above, Alexa is in fact not running on your PC, even though it is installed, so perhaps just do not worry about it. I believe you can put it into the Ignore list in Ad-Aware.
And you can post in the Lavasoft forum to see what response/advice you get there.

    Thanks Jim:
I think you nailed it. I didn't know it could come from IE repair.
I've been having strange problems with OE lately. Click on tools &
sometimes get "illegal operation, etc,etc ". So I have been using IE repair more often. That's probably why it reoccurs.
    Thanks again:
    neil :)

    Jim:
No, I haven't posted OE problem. One screen leads to another
"shame on you" screen , followed by a white oblong screen with something about MMINE (I think) then the terrible Blue Screen that warns I am doomed. About that time I press the NO,NO button and shut it all down, and start over. Next time it happens,I
will record everything and post it. Thanks for concern.
