internet explorer help!

    Who can help me, I can't make an internetconnection with windows 2000, but I have connection with Windows Me wich is also on my computer.
    I am connected through a network, with a switch.
    I tried windows 98, 95, me, NT and all these will connect me.
    I have a DNS-error in System32 when I start Explorer,

    Please please help me :confused:

    Marielle,

    Is the error message a windows error or an Internet Explorer error?

    It sounds like either:

    1) Internet explorer is corrupted and needs re-installing

    or

    2) your network settings need changing to include the LAN dns address.

    to do this, right click on "My network places ", right click on LAN connection and click on properties of TCP/IP. Enter the IP address of your DNS server in "Prefered DNS server address "
