    I've noticed that some of the websites that have video's I view are not very clear. The video's are fuzzy and not focus.Most are Movie Trailers or Music Videos and News video's. I have a concern because I have a DVD drive and afraid that any DVD I put in will look the same. I see on TV ad's when they do commercials on R.R. or Aol broadband the videos are clear. Do I need another Video Card or do I need to do something else to my computer. I went to Best Buy and ask this lady who was suppose to be over the computer department if they had a video card that would make the video images clear, she said technology hasn't gotten to that point yet. She said no video card will give me picture perfect video's. Is this true or she didn't know what she was talking about? :)
    Thanks

    I think it's just the quality of the file.

    I see that you have an NVIDIA Geforce MX 420 64 mb video card. You have got as good as you can get for video quality musbethamusac.

    About the only improvement you could make would be to go bigger in MB, & that would be for gamers. More MB only ensures smooth running of demanding high end graphics programs.

    If a file is not of good quality to begin with, no video card is going to improve it. So just stick with what you have. I doubt very seriously if your video card, or your computer, is in any way at fault.

    You say videos on websites are not clear and worry about playing DVD'S in your DVD Drive. On the web it's the CONNECTION and quility of the file. The quality of a DVD disc (movie) will be clear even though the web video is not. Don't worry, you don't have a connection to the net when watching a movie on your DVD Drive. It will be really nice without buying anything more.

    seems like this is anwered pretty well, but wanted to add a slight append to the thread;

    movie files, webcams and the like seem to have a much better frame rate (like less choppy) on XP over win2k. im sure the code for viewing video has been more refined.

    heh, could help but put in my 2 cents here :p
