I recently got this email, apparently from Microsoft, with a file attached (have removed it) but after scanning it see that the EXE is infected with a worm virus. Is this email really from Microsoft? If so, how do I contact them to let them know they are sending an infected program (I'm not about to PAY their ridiculous support fees or phone LD to tell them they ******* up).

The name of the file is: p257836.exe (my virus checker identifies the virus as "I-Worm Gibe.b" type)

AVG, one of the best ones I've ever used.

I figured it was a hoax but you never know what Microsoft is going to do next so I figured I'd see what someone else had to say.

I'm using AVG as well (I check for updates daily.....rather than let it check automatically)
I'm a huge fan as well.

Happy to hear you caught the virus.
