Hi, Can anyone tell me if I need to do anything with my Bios when I take out a Hard drive (20gb) and put in a brand new Hard drive (60gb) without the operating system installed yet? Thanks, Karen

The BIOS will probably do everything automatically for you. If it doesn't, at bootup go into the BIOS properties and select the find and install disk option.

    Hi K

I agree with Bluejay. If you want more info you can go to the Hard Drive manufacturer's website. They should have full instructions. You may have received a disk with the drive that has an installation program, if not, you could get this at the website as well. This program can tell you what the settings should be, etc. and some will copy your current drive across to the new.
