Lost Messages in OE6

I just upgraded to OE6 about four days ago from OE5. The upgrade worked fine, all messages imported, all address improted, folders imported, no problems. The program ran fine with no problems for a few days. Three days, ago on 3/20, when I couldn't look at a couple of attachments, I went to Options and cut off the security function. Everything worked fine and I could see the attachments. I shut the program down and went about my business.

However, now when I launch the program, I don't see any new messages, including the ones that I looked at on 3/20. All of my old messages are still there up to 3/20. Everything from that point forward is gone. When I look at my identity files in the windows directory, they are updating with the current date. When I send myself test messages, the messages show up in my sent items folder, but nothing in my inbox. I am using a yahoo account as my main mailbox, and when I send myself a test message, I see the message using my browser on the yahoo server. OE is getting messages from yahoo and deleting the message from yahoo correctly. OE is also showing the mail icon in my status bar showing that I have new mail. But nothing in the inbox. When I do a search for the subject using find, I see the sent message but nothing in my inbox. Basically it looks like OE is getting my messages from the server but deleting them immediately. I also have nothing in my deleted items folder showing that they were deleted. It is like they never existed. I have no messages rules running, and I can't find any other settings that could cause this. I do have multiple identities that I used in the past, but none of them show new dates when I look at them with Explorer. I am running McAffee but I am not running the email scan.

Any help is greatley appreciated. I searched this message board and even followed a few links to other sites, but nothing seems applicable to my problem. I am at my wits end.
