Unable to Format Hard Drives

Despite closing down server processes and protected storage processes I cannot format hard drives with Disk Administrator.

I keep getting the message that the disks are in use by a program or a window is displaying current contents.

My entire network has been closed down except the server.

Your help is appreciated.

 

Are you trying to format the drive on the comptuer that is running Disk Administrator or on one of the other computers?

Have you tried formating from a command prompt?

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes I did try that.

I have fixed the problem. Here's how.

I removed the pagefile for the disks I wanted to format.

Winnt would not let me format the disks because it was using the pagefiles!!!

Just took a litle more thought than i'm used to using.
