SpamKiller is great, but . . .

Is there anybody out there using SpamKiller? I have it, and it's great, but I have one tiny, little question about one function of it. No point in spelling out my problem, though, until I know if there is anyone on this message board using the software.

 

I use the original SpamKiller. Maybe I can help, if it's not about filters. I run it in friends-only mode.

 

Thank you, Samson. You know the little email icon in the bar across the top of SpamKiller? You're supposed to be able to click on that and go to your email program? It doesn't work for me.

I can go to my email program by right clicking on the little envelope in the bottom right-hand corner of my screen and then clicking on "Run email program," though do I think I must have it configured correctly.

 

Hmmm. Both my buttons work if I tell SK that the email client is Outlook Express. If I point it at Opera M2, the buttons work differently depending on if the Opera browser is open or not.

So apparently the two buttons lead to different routines inside SK, and even though intended to do the same thing will work differently if other things change.

That's no answer, but maybe it will point you in a direction for investigation. Sorry I don't have more.

I'm on Win98SE and SpamKiller 2.87
