Have two pc’s at my desk. On the Win2k machine I bring up IE and go to http://mail.companyname.com/exchange

This takes to me to a M$ Outlook Web Access log on screen. I type in my alias and then get a "Enter Network Password" box asking for:
    User Name
    Password
    Domain

I type in the info and all is one with the universe.

On all of the company’s XP Pro machines, none of them get asked about the domain, thus no access to email.

Exception: One user took his XP laptop home and connected to his personal ISP (msn.com) via dialup. He got in without any problems.

Any suggestions on how to get the XP machines connected. Upgrading to exchanger server 2000 is not an option at this time. Thanks in advance..

After the inital OWA login the next screen defualts to

    mail.domainname.com\sjones which doesn't work.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

You need the NT domain name not the mail.company.com name.

Company name and domain name are one in the same. Didn't want to broadcast the company name.

That syntax has always worked for me. Have you tried unchecking "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication (requires restart)" in IE and re-starting?
