    Hello all!
    Occasionally, while browsing, a site will present a blank frame with a small icon in the upper left hand corner consisting of a red square, a green circle, and a blue triangle. Obviously, something is not available to me. Can anyone explain to me what it is that I'm missing, and how to access it? Thank you; Dave

    woodrite-- Is that icon all that you can see when you try to access that site or can you view the rest of the page OK?
    Are you getting any error message?
    Taking a wild guess, I suspect your ActiveX Control settings may be set too "high" (like Disabled). Check IE Tools|Internet Options|Security tab|Custom Level. Try checking all as Prompt, except Disabled for those "not marked as safe ".

    site link

    Hello again;
    Thank you. I'm not sure if this is what you need, Daizy.
    http://www.acmebrick.com/md/index.htm
    When I go to this site, I can see the left hand lettering and icons, but the middle frame is blank with the obscure icon I mentioned. Welshjim; thank you,too. I receive no error, and am able to browse and D/L the various brick textures. I just wonder what's behind door number three. I've also encountered this odd icon elsewhere. Thanks again for your help. BTW, I adjusted security settings to no avail..........Dave

    woodrite--When I visited the Acme site I was asked if I wanted ActiveX to run. I clicked No and saw only the left portion. I reentered the site, got the ActiveX message, clicked Yes, and saw the whole page fine. My ActiveX settings are those I suggested to you, so that explains the message. The message and the need to click Yes suggests you need ActiveX to see the site. Maybe you do not have ActiveX installed?

    However, I do not see what you mean by "door number three ".

    Shockwave

    Hello, once again;
    Daizy, I loaded Shockwave with no apparent difference noticed? When I check IE Options, Temporary Internet Files, Settings, and View Objects; it lists Shockwave among other Downloaded Program Files. Also, I checked Add/Remove Programs, Windows SetUp; it lists MacroMedia as installed there. I do have Empty TIF when browser is closed enabled. Welshjim, I simply meant not being able to see something that is obviously there. Maybe I'm incredibly dense, but it's a moot point anyway; by using a search engine to find a different way to Acme's site, I was still greeted with the same interface; however was offered the opportunity to D/L their online utility for editing brick textures....no request to run ActiveX. The point is even more moot as my dial-up connection is quite slow, and their texture files quite large. Guess I'll just use my CAD program to create them, although I will use that utility to make bitmaps for wrapping 3D objects. If I sound confuzed, it's because I am. Thank you both for your help.....Dave
