    I just got back from vacation and find that hotmail has changed its sign-in page to .Net Passport. Will signing in this way give my e-mail and password to others much like mail lists do?

    Thanks for any help.:mad:

    I see that you really do not need help, you just need to sign in.
    It all depends on how you got your options setup, or yes, no and maybe.

    In response to your question, No. The following site explains Net Passport in a little greater detail;

    .Net Passport

    If you don't want others using your system to have access to your Hotmail account make sure that you do not put a check-mark in "Sign me in automatically ".

    Also, if you don't do so already you should occasionally clear your autocomplete entries. To do this;

    Right click on the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.

    Click on the "Content Tab and then click the AutoComplete button.

    The Autocomplete Settings window will open. Click on the "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords" buttons.

    *sighs*
    Daughter has hotmail for her email...and only uses the sign-in for her email and nothing else.
    She likes the old sign-in page...now, she has to sign-in every time she wants to read her email!
    I thought that once one puts/clicks the username/password, that it remembers it (as in the old sign-in page)...but this new page makes one re-enter username/password AND puts a checkmark in the box to 'remember'???? Really a PITA to do everytime :(
    Anybody have the same problems?
    Any suggestions?

    If your daughter enters her user name and password and places a check-mark in "Sign me in automatically" she will not have to enter her user name and password again unless she goes through the logout procedure for .Net Passport. Once a user logs out they must log back in.

    To get around having to log in every-time have her close the window without logging out, then whenever she returns to Hot-mail it will remember her user name and password, even if the computer has been turned off since the last visit.

    NOTE: .NET Passport recommends that you use this option only if you are the only person using the computer.
