I have two computers, Windows XP Pro and Windows 98 SE, both running IE6 and OE6, both with the same issue as below.

I want to be able to print my newly composed emails before I send them. However the print icon is not available on the Toolbar, and Print is greyed out on the File Menu.

This seems to me to be so basic a requirement that I feel that I must have missed something.

    Any ideas please?

    Geoff

The only way I know of to print a message, in any version of OE, that has not yet been sent, is to save the message to your drafts folder, print it and then send it.

    Thanks Rod
I had found the same workaround. However I still think that printing ought to be available at the creation of the emal.

I thought that it was available in earlier versions of OE, but obviously my memory fails me - my mind does at times fail me also.

Does this mean that MS is looking after us to ensure that we do not print an email, file it, and then send something else; or even worse, not send it at all.

It's a bit like "Hi, I'm from the government. I'm here to help you! "

I've used OE from version 4 through the version 6 and I don't remember ever being able to print a message that was being composed.

Kind of makes you wonder why things like this aren't thought of by the programmers, certainly they use their own product don't they? :)
