I did a Ad-aware scan and it picked up these Spy Ware targets:

    1 Network Essentials

    2 Brilliant Digitial

    3 Save Now

    4 Cydoor

    5 Alexa

Can anyone tell me if i can delete these from my computer without any problems.

Thanks for your time in advance. Rick

    hey rick

i always delete that kind of stuff with Spybot... can't wait to get rid of it.

but keep in mind that the program has a recovery feature that can undo things if you want to reverse what you did.

look in the program folder and you'll see a 'recovery' folder that stores zipped files of all that you remove.

periodically i go in and erase them as well.

    good luck

    :)

New.net: To uninstall the New.net application, go to 'Add/Remove Programs' on your control panel.

Whenusave part of Save.exe. Advertising spyware.

Mr. Mark, at this point I still would use SSD for removal, not quite trusting AAW yet given their history of ruinous removal of new-net for example.

    Hello Rick,

SpyBot Search&Destoy is an adware/spyware remover. Has many features very much worth the time to learn about in the help file.

    Find it here: http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang=en&page=download

There is also a forum link from the download page.

    Regards - Charles

and if you do install Spybot, rick, then by all means, go back and read my earlier post on this thread, and things should start making sense!
