I had installed a few freeware fonts in my computer a while ago. later I did a system recovery on my computer for other reasons. When I reinstalled all my programs and the fonts I had before, i noticed how some of my programs were displaying boxes instead of the fonts. (including the networking wizard, MIRC, Norton SystemWorks and After Effects).

I thought it was because of one of the fonts so I did a system restore again. before reinstalling any fonts, everything was displayed correctly but as soon as i tried to install just one font, it did some sort of an update to my computer because all of the previous fonts were now installed and the programs mentioned above are again not displaying the correct fonts.

    Please help!

    Hi shwap
Welcome to the boards! Maybe that the Desk.cpl has been corrupted?

Try this to replace the Desk.cpl file.
