I have Office 2000 running on a brand new XP machine. Everytime I try to close Powerpoint 2000 I recieve the following message

"Powerpoint found an error that it can't correct. You should save presentations, quit, and then restart powerpoint "

After I quit the program, it seems to run and hang in the background until I reboot.

I have tried to repair it, uninstall and reinstall to no avail.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi rck1
    Any chance you're using Norton's?

    The Fix

I followed the link above. I am running Norton AV 2002. I went into the options and disabled the "Enable Office Plugin" feature of Norton.

    Well.......even better! :D
I thought perhaps you'd solved it with something else. Congratulations again.
