Same Updates over & over

Yep!

Would be nice if you could select your software and hardware and have that as the only search option.

Who knows, maybe there is one out there somewhere?

I stand corrected. I did not have SP1 installed. Since then I have installed SP1 I have not been prompted for those same 2 Security updates.
Windows update has notified my 3 times that updates are available and the 2 security updates have not been in the list of available updates. ( I wanted to give it time to see if it was really fixed)
When you installed SP1 did you select the option to make it reversable? If so maybe you can reinstall.

Windows update figured out I think

Okay this is what I think should be done after the update is download automatically and installed etc. I run the one button check on Norton Systemworks. It corrects any errors in the registry which is where the problem is. So my suggestion is to run this every week on a daily basis should solve the problem
