Disabling Netscape Mail Messenger

I am no longer using NS7 as the default mail messenger but when I go to a web site and click the email link, NS7 opens up.

How can I totally remove the Mail messenger or disable it.

 

You might try adding the following to your user.js or prefs.js file...

user_prefs( "network.protocol-handler.external.mailto ", true);



Or just uninstalling Netscape, and reinstalling without the mail client. Of course, Ramona may have a better solution...

If you would like to have Netscape in it's most minimal configuration install Navigator 7.02 stand alone . Provides the browser and the updated Flash, thats it. 10 MB download.
