Shut Down

    One of my pc's has a celeron processor, 128MB Ram and has a clean install of Win 98 SE. The clean install was made about 3 months ago and during these 3 months I discovered something very strange which occured only twice. I was running a Microsoft application the first time "Excel" and the second time "Access" and all of a sudden the computer shut down automatically leaving the monitor, speakers and UPS still on.

    Any idea what thing may have caused this strange thing? Actually, the PC I am talking about has never been connected to the internet, therefore I don't believe it could be a virus problem. Eventually, I have Pc Cillin installed and when I ran it, it didn't find any viruses.

    Try a repair or re-install of the Office applications you are having trouble with.
