When I go to burn a cd I receive the message,( e:/ device not ready) (retry/ cancel) Even though I have a blank cd in. I can tap retry a number of times and eventually it will start. What is wrong ? It didn't use to give me any problems. Thanks

The only other thing I can think of is a failing drive. Try another?

Also, some drives are slow to get started. My Plex Writer is really slow about getting started compared to my other drive. When you put a disk in, the drive has to figure out if this is blank, Audio, or digital. Some are a little slow witted.:)

Thanks, this may be the problem. I can't figure it out. But this could be the problem.
