Hi, going into msinfo32.exe, IRQ page showing 23 IRQ's. Everything I've ever read, says that there are only 15. Does WinXP Home Edition have more, or am I seeing things.

Your input will be most appreciated.

I don't have XP, but from what I have been told before you are not seeing things. It is apparently true that XP does provide support for more than 16 interrupts. I don't know if there are any restrictions in terms of motherboard support and/or cards that can use them. Older cards whose IRQ is set by jumper or software probably can't use them, if the card works in XP at all. It may be a good idea to keep COM ports and anything else with a well-known IRQ from landing on IRQ 16-23.

As long as ACIP is enabled in BIOS, and it's an ACPI compliant motherboard, XP will add virtual IRQ's as needed for devices.
