    Hi
I have win xp on my pc.
And I have Olympus C-300 digital camera.
When I connect my camera to the usb automatically ( and always) the windows Explorer program pop-up.
Then I have to copy and paste the pictures to my H.D
How can I change xp configuration so that the "camera wizard" software will pop-up every time I connect the camera to the usb?

    Thanks Doron.

you need to connect your camera to the pc, then click on my computer and right click the digi camera and click properties. Then select the auto play tab and in the drop down list choose pictures and then change the selection from "open folder to view files" to "copy pictures to a folder on my computer "

    Hope this helps please reply

I use to use the software that came with my camera(Olympus C-3000). It was very slow uploading pics to my harddrive. Bought a card reader for under $15.00. Now I can just drag and drop, and use Adobe as my photo editor.

I got a new computer, XP, for Christmas and started having trouble using my software that came with my Olympus digital camera, too. The problem with mine was 2 things. ONE, the software was too old for XP (ver.1.11.....they were up to ver. 4!). After contacting them via email support and them sending me version 2.5 which is supposed to be compatible with XP, and then updating it with a patch, it still didn't work right. Had to call them. After working with several techs I finally got a hold of a SMART person and problem # TWO got fixed after solving problem # ONE. It seems that XP won't let my Irfanview and Olympus play together. We ended up changing something in the registry and now it works.

You could contact the company via email support or I can give you the 800 # if you want it. You may need a newer driver. Let me know.

    :)
