    Since I upgraded to OE 6,(even 5.5, if I remember ...) using the "SHIFT+CLICK" method of opening a "new" browser window in Outlook Express no longer works!...have you noticed it too???
    Sometimes, I notice a new window in fact will open, but it seems to be 'hit-or-miss'...NOT every time...

    I hate it when I have other windows open that I want to "stay" where they are, and clicking on the link uses one of my open windows.

    YES, I know about the option in Tools/Internet Options/Advanced, etc.,..... That says "reuse windows for launching shorcuts ", and its NOT checked(it is disabled)..there for it doesn't do what it says, I guess...(?)

    I miss this feature, and I consider it a 'big deal' of a bug, for an upgrade...when receiving links in my email, I'd sure like to open it without losing a window I'm already working with....what gives?

    Actually this problem goes all the way back to OE 5.0 Check out the following Knowledge Base article from Microsoft for an explanation of why this occurs and a fix to the problem;

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q256953

    You won't find Windows XP, or OE6 listed in this article, but if you follow the directions listed under "Workaround - Microsoft Windows 2000" you'll be able to accomplish what your looking for.

    Though using this workaround fixed the problem for me most of the time, I have noticed that on occassion, for whatever reason, the Hypertext Transfer Protocal resets itself to "Use DDE" again. This seems to occur more often if I'm loading software. So, when this happen I simply go back into Folder Options, File Types and unselect "Use DDE" again.

    Hope this helps. :D
