web page changed

    Help...Please,
    When we installed Windows 98 Second Edition we lost the "http
    address page download ". What I mean is we can no longer see
    the download of the web-page at the bottom.
    I guess you would call it "we can no longer see the progress of
    the download as the -page loads on the screen. "
    Please forgive me if I don't explain this very well for I am a Beginner.
    I would appreciate any help on this that any of you may have.

    Close IE, right click on my computer, select explore. Click on view, click on status bar to place a checkmark there. Close explore, reboot.

    Got back my status bar

    And I also learned a new word today: The Status Bar.

    You can also make the status bar visible right in IE. Click the view menu and then status bar. If however, the next time you open IE and the bar's not there again, aleekats suggestion is the way to go.
