Jeez, I need to increase my timeout....

    I am using:

    capture ti=1000 nb nt q=fs_hp4_pc l=1 nff

    When I run:

    Capture show

I can see that my timeout is disabled.....its been so long since I have looked at this dos stuff, my brain is hurting....

This is simple, I am sure, but I have forgot....

    jeez.....

    Novell version?

And are you actually running this from a DOS machine or another OS and a DOS/Command/Cmd window?

XP, for instance, seems to not understand the timeout parameter at all - or maybe understand (no error) but ignore.

yea, have about 50 dos machines...

I am having a printing problem on a 2000 machine.....print job originates from a dos program....

I am getting 2 pages instead of 1......which leads me to believe its a timing issue...

This issue has appeared AFTER we have had some horrible network congestion problems....so, until that is resolved, I think if I increase my timeout....problem will be resolved

Dont forget that on a 2K PC "DOS" still has to ask the Windows O/S to allow it to print (no direct hardware calls) so it may be worth looking at Novell client properties and ensuring that the default number of copies hasnt been increased to 2 - youd be amazed what users do....

Well, its resolved.....problem was a pathing problem, program problem & the user had edited some files, jeez, three days later...

Thank you for your help, my printing problem had nothing to do with a timeout...
