The other day I needed to reinstall WinXP and found that I have lost the License # you register with. 20 digits of the number are shown by right-clicking on My Computer, but it is a 25 digit number. Where can I get the last five digits so I can make a record of this number somewhere for the future? Thanks for help.

    Hi,

It is printed on the orange label on the back cover of the folder that your Windows XP CD came in.

    Good Luck

That's the whole problem. I must have thrown that away like a dummy. How can I get the number elsewhere?

Edit: Ok, problem solved. I found a program called Magical Jellybean Keyfinder which reveals the key of any version on your computer. Just posting back in case anyone else needs this info.
