I'm trying to create a very simple macro in Outlook (non-Express). All it needs to do is sendkeys to open a new message and sendkeys to populate the text areas. If there are more effecient ways, I'm open to suggestions. The problem is I can't even get the simple SendKeys "^N " command to work. I can use SendKeys "%{TAB} " and it works fine.

I am running Office XP 10.2627.xxx on WinXP. Because the ALT+TAB Sendkeys command works, I'm thinking that there is a CTRL limitation on the Sendkeys due to recent virii? I lowered my Macro security level to medium, but that had no effect.

I'd like to do this from Outlook if possible. Supposedly (from MS site), you can "create a menu item or toolbar button that will run the macro when you click it" as per http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...-us/vbaol10/html/olconWritingOutlookMacro.asp

I know you can do this from any other app or script, but I'd like to be able to do this within Outlook. I found this thread http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14934, but I am unable to save as an oft file. I have to save as a dot file, then rename and go through the 14 steps. In the end, all it does is open a new blank email.

    Thanks.

Temporarily disable Word as your email editor to save as OFT or use the Save As option from the folder view in Outlook after selecting the message.
