Game installing troubles!!!

I have the game Beyond Time, but it will install into a certain point and freezes..I have all the systems requirements.I dont get any error messages it just freezes..Does ayone have that game and cold they help me with it PLEASEEEEEEEEE....Thanks.

I don't have that game. You might want to double check the CD and / or CD player if the install always freezes only so far in.

...try copying the whole install CD across to a new folder on your hard drive, then install from there (sometimes works). If during the copy, your system freezes or reports "unreadable" error for any file, you'll know the problem is to do with the CD or player.

 

When installing the game make sure that you disable your wallpaper, screen saver and do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and end task on everything but explorer and systray BEFORE you install it. you want to make sure you have a clean install. Also make sure your computer is capable of playing the game.....Did you do this?

 

Not sure about this particular game but when I was having problems installing a few games the problem turned out to be the drivers for my video card. Go the your video card's web site and see if they have some updates. My Nvidia card has updates about every other month it seems .. just a thought

 

I still say...

I've just looked up the specs for your game... Win98/95, Pentium CPU, 8Mb RAM (pref 16+) and 2x CD or better.

These specs should be no problem to any computer you can get today. Even for second hand computer you'd be hard to get lower than this.

You may have a problem if you are trying to run this on something like Windows XP, but without getting my hnds on the game itself, I cannot confirm this.

Other than that, I'll repeat what I said before: I think your CD is stuffed, especially as you seem to be getting awry half way through the install process. If you got the game recently, try exchanging it for another copy.
