    OK fellers,

The red X fix may have worked for being able to see the pics on web pages, but it wrecked havoc with my computer.

I discovered a couple of days ago that I could not open any .jpg files on my computer with IExplore anymore, which is the default file association for jpeg, & jpg images. Everytime I tried, it would try to open it, but would bounce back and forth between the viewing window, & a File Download dialog box, in a continious loop. Trying to stop this continious looping was a mess. Once it started looping, you had to either push the re-set button on your computer, or do a dozen end tasks to get it to stop. Trying to do a normal shut down did not work. It would not shut down, and would keep right on looping. I kept trying to find an answer to stop the looping, but nothing helped until........

It finally dawned on me that it might have been the Red X fix that caused it. So I went back into Regedit & changed the Content Type back to image\jpeg, and wholah! . I can open .jpg's on my computer again without any problem. So the Red X fix wasn't such a good fix after all. :) It caused more problems than it solved.

I'd rather not see pics on the web pages than to not be able to open .jpg files on my computer.

I sure hope people who read the other post & thought the fix would work on theirs didn't do it, because I don't want anyone else's computer getting messed up like mine did.

It's fine now, but gave me a fit for a few days. I just wanted everyone to know what happened.
