I would like to make an image of my C drive so that if it goes duff I can then boot of the image without loosing anything. I have seen the previouse question on disk copy but the answer only worked for Wester Digital disks. I have tried Ghost but that gives up near the end of the copy. I have two hard disks both the same size.

I use PowerQuests DiveImage software to image my 3 partitions on my 30GB harddrive. (My second drive is 120gb and I have never attempted imaging it, as it is just my data drive.)
