I have a MS Office 2000 Word document that is driving me nuts. I have the word "Introduction" written and formated as follows:

    Font: Times New Roman
    Size: 16
    Style: Regular
    Color: Automatic
    Underline Style: double lines
    Underline Color: Blue

When I print the document the underlines are too high and the top line actually runs through the lower part of the word. It looks right when I do a print preview but printing is a problem.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 870 printer. I also tried printing it on a friends computer with an HP Deskjet 950C with the same result which makes me think it is the document and not the printer.

This is a class assignment and I don't have an alternative on the formating. Sure would like to get this fixed but can't do it on my own.

    Thanks,

    Found the Problem

I found what was wrong. In Tools > Options > Compatability I had the box checked that reads: "Supress line spacing like Word Perfect 5.0 ". Removing the check mark let the spacing for the underlines work properly..... who'da thunk it? :D

Thanks for posting back. I was about to burn up a mouse clicking around, trying different things to see if I could figure out the solution. Never having used Word Perfect, I never thought change anything having to do with it.

    Thanks!
