foobar 2000

I recently downloaded and installed an audio substitute for media player freeware prog called "foobar 2000" highly recomended for its size and saving on ram etc, (http://foobar2000.hydrogenaudio.org/)

only to be disapointed by its looks (though it does admittedly seem to have good potential for sound) so i used its own un-installer and went back to media player only to find there is no sound, i have re-associated the mp3 & wav files but this doesnt work.
re-install foobar and it plays fine???

I would first try uninstalling foobar and then reinstall media player. Might be the answer and save you a lot of grief trying to figure it out. Post back as to whether or not it works for you.

sorry i did'nt mention that i already tried re-installing media 9 too.

 

Well back to the drawing board. I'll see what I can come up with. Anybody else???

have finally figured out why win media 9 would not play...
inbetween un-install of foobar 2000 & using media 9 i d/loaded a skin called press the green button off the win-media 9 site, beleive it or not on changing back to another skin, i was blown off my chair by a welcome blast of audio

must learn to settle for good basic working prog, and not change to much.
