    i have a folder i made a shortcut to
    c:\-russ-

i have the shortcut in my task bar.. and when i click it - it never has the folders window active - even if i edit my views

    -tools
    -options
    -view
    --like current folder

the "folder" window is always closed when i go back and use the short cut - but the "start in" folder is correct.

    help please.
    thanks

dangeruss--Try View|Explorer Bar|click Folders. that should put a check next to Folders and give you the Folders panel.

Change the properties of the shortcut. For the target:
    explorer.scf C:\-russ-

thanks guys - but for whatever reason.. this line worked in the "target" box...

    C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /n,/e,c:\-russ-

i have no idea what the /n or /e mean - but i've seen it before and gave it a shot.
