Looking for a 'Find' Program that...

    I know there is such a program that actually will not only find Folders and Files on your HD, but can also locate 'words' within the files themselves. Very handy if you don't the actual file your looking for but know a word that exists within that file.
    Anyone use or know of such a program or its name???

    Thanx Rod.. Managed to find one called Xteq - X-Find..

    Seems simple and exactly what I'm looking for and its also FREE

    its at www.download.com for anyone who is interested.

    Interesting....I'd never tried the "word or phrase in the file" field in XP's search feature until I read this thread. I tried it and it worked. Gotta' admit that amazed me. ;)

    I also tried it on the 98 machine and it worked there, too.

    I use and like Agent Ransack. Faster by far than the native XP app. And fast as well on a large 2K server drive (200Gb).
