    Hi,
    Recently, my AutoPlay feature for my DVD-ROM has stopped working. It doesn't matter what type of CD i put in, it won't launch itself.
    It isn't a problem for me, but the rest of my family are blaming me for it and as far as I am aware I haven't done anything to disable it.
    I have TweakUI installed but i haven't messed around with any of the AutoPlay features it has.
    My OS is XP Pro without SP1.
    Can anyone help?

    Open TweakUI, and turn off the autoplay, then restart, re-enable autoplay in TweakUI, and it should all work.

    If resetting TweakUI doesn't correct the problem try the following;

    Double Click the My Computer icon on the desktop.

    Under Devices with Removable Storage, right-click the CD Drive and then click Properties.

    On the AutoPlay tab, click the multimedia content type you want to change.

    Under Actions, click the action you want Windows to perform when it detects the media type you selected.

    You're welcome. It seems that Windows loses the odd setting like this, for no apparent reason, and simply turning it off, and back on again, fixes it. I constantly have that problem with the connection icon in the taskbar.
