I have a Service started called: "C-DillaCdaC11BA ". It has no comments, but is showing "started" and "automatic ". I cannot find any "hits" anywhere on this. Does anyone know what it is?

I get a little un-easy when services do not have a commentary with them.

    Thanks!

Thanks Swelldom. Interesting.... I have Ad-aware anti-spyware installed, and it does not "see" it.

I assume I can "turn it off" and not disable my Turbo Tax?

Probably a bad assumption. And for more not-so-good news, take a look Here.

Spybot will find and remove it. But TT will probably not run after that. I don't know for sure but imagine the new 6.0 version of Ad-aware will find it too.

If you want more information, a google search for turbotax spyware will give you around 3,900 hits and most of them have links to other articles.

I'm sitting on my copy right now. Haven't installed it and may not. May just buy another product and try writing BOTH of them off on my taxes this year. I've used TT for lots of years and loved it but this thing has me looking elsewhere for sure. I think Intuit made a huge goof here and may or may not survive it even if they do remove C-Dilla.

Rite on Newt! Same with me. I hate to turn this fine board into a C-dilla _itch session, but I downloaded the TAXact for ten bucks and !! trashed !! my TT after ten years of consecutive legit TT / Macintax use. Intuit is evidently now into full limit-loss mode as I got a boiler-plate email describing how they are now providing a "remove C-dilla" utility on their site (which gave me a 404 error when I clicked on the link) after I bowed out of their email ad list.
My neighbor has just found out about the C-dilla and asked me to come over and kill this spy when I get a chance.
    Good Luck!
