I have MS Office 2000 Premium, so far no problems.:)

If you uninstall AA6 do the Office crashing problems go away?

If you had the older version of AdAware, did you uninstall it before installing v. 6? The Lavasoft people recommend you do that. It creates problems if you don't.

Miz: That might be the problem. I just installed AA 6 assuming that it would install over the previous version. So I unistalled 5.x after I installed 6.

I'll uninstall 6 and see if I get any more crashes.

Anything removed by AdAware should be in it's backup folder. Check what was deleted and see if it relates to office.

"Just" installing it, should not have affected it at all.

All I removed using AA was some cookies. I uninstalled it today and crashed excel again. At least now I have figured out exactly what I need to do to cause the crash. Unfortunately its something I have to do alot.

    Tools>macro>macros>options....Crash
It happens every single time I do this.

I tried repairing my office installation and it gave me an error too. I am getting very frustrated.

    Fixed

Don't ask me how it happened but it appears that AA 6 corrupted my user profile (or it was an unfortunate coincidence).

My Excel install got to the point last week where I could do nothing without causing a crash. I un-installed/ re-installed office a couple times (I'm on a network it takes like 3 minutes) and it still crashed. So I tried to log on under a different user account and excel worked! I tried it as the administrator and it worked. So I deleted my profile - everything, re-created the account and BAM! it works.

    I love Windows:rolleyes:
