    Good Day To Ya Gentlemen

For going on 3 years I have had Compuserve as my ISP. When I clicked on a shortcut on my desk top it would open up in my Compuserve interface. About 2 weeks ago it started opening up in Explorer. I don't like this ,what ever it is,because I need my Compuserve tool bar and is showing is the Explorer interface with its tool bar. Is what it is making me do is to copy and paste the URL out of the explorer address bar, then X out of Explorer, bring up the Compuserve interface from the task bar,and then paste the URL from Explorer into the address bar of Compuserve. What are some things to try ?--------------------Donald

Assuming you are talking about Internet Explorer and not Windows Explorer---

Your file associations for URL's may have changed.
Open Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Programs.
Uncheck the box that says that IE should check to see if it is the default browser.

Then, look through your options/preferences in your Compuserve interface and find where to make CS your default.

If that doesn't work, then follow the directions under "Resolving the Second Cause" here, substituting your Compuserve executable wherever "iexplore.exe" appears:
