After I removed this program - TURBO CONNECT - the dail-up will not come up anymore when I open my IE 6 on the desktop! I can still connect to Juno through my e-mail web tab - but the dial-up box is gone. Any ideas? Last time this happened I had to reinstall my OS!!! Please not again! Thanks. m:confused:

Right click on the Internet Explorer shortcut on your desktop. Click on the Connections tab. Make sure that "Always dial my default connection" is selected.

Shouldn't need an OS reinstall. And speaking of which, what OS?

    LUCKY OR SMART?

Get this guys and gals! Oh - and thanks to Rod and Newt for replying. BUT - it is back working again! I think I might have fixed it - MYSELF! Check me on this - I went to the Network connections and fond that besides my Juno Web and Juno Backup there was this one called Juno connect?! Now I never set it up - so I figure maybe the Turbo thing did it? It had this annoying habit of dialing up as soon as I started the computer all by itself! So anyway - I removed it. And now when I tried to connect form the desktop by clicking on IE6 - BINGO!:D So did I do it or did it just happen by luck? Now on to the next mess - I will be back I am sure - seeya!:) Anybody have an idea about disabling that restriction I put on using DOS yet?

More than likely you did it. When you uninstalled the Turbo Connect program it didn't do a very good job of cleaning up behind itself and left its dial-up connection behind. By deleting this you caused your system to default back to the regular dial-up configuration. :)

As for your DOS problem C:\>set Prompt And C> Set Winpmt - What??? I would have to agree with Mark, you are going to have to try and find out which tweaker you used that restricted your rights to run dos programs.
